When granddaughter, Jada, was born with leukemia, a donor-match was located and Jada made a miraculous recovery. In honor of her grandaughter's health, Jeanna has decided to walk across the country (in the dead of winter) to raise awareness and build support for the bone marrow registry (all that's required is a cheek swab). Hello! I’m here to promote my new fantasy webcomic, (Not) a Fairy Tale. The 25-page prologue is already up and the first chapter is set to begin posting on next Wednesday, Dec 23 (with new pages posted every Wednesday evening).
The story is a (very) loosely based adaptation of the The Lady and the Lion (Brothers Grimm), with art by nisecal. Besides the prologue, the website also features character design sketches and original outlines. And for easy access to the comic each week, you can follow it on the livejournal community tanaal.
Please come check us out! This is our first project and feedback is very appreciated.
Note: Though the prologue is decidedly PG, future chapters will contain adult themes and situations, so be advised.

** Notebook sketches needed!! **
Hi everyone. I know a couple weeks ago I was the one asking for submissions for another project for college, though that one's currently been dropped due to a low amount of submissions (the topic was admittingly strange).
I was wondering though, if anyone had any non traditional surface sketches for this new gallery idea? By that I mean notebook, sticky note, hey even your shoe sketches, basically anything drawn on non traditional surfaces, or surfaces other than artbook or art paper. Perhaps you doodled it at work, or at school, or at a meeting. People often come up with intersting, unfinished (sometimes finished) ideas due to the monotony of listening to someone talk. Notebook sketches are intimate, and it's fun seeing what is created in an every day environment.
Any submissions please sent to vividarchetype@gmail.com. Please submit them no later than Tuesday, December the 15th. I know I'm cutting it close, so any submissions will be much appreciated!! And the more submissions the merrier! My gallery should be up by December the 16th (when my project is due). I will post it here for everyone to see.
